Hale Kea (the "White House") is situated in a completely private, beautifully landscaped setting with a stunning 180º ocean views and sunsets every day of the year. This architecturally significant residence was completely remodeled in 2006 and features a large private lap pool and glass tiled spa adjacent to the spacious, elegant lanai. The home extensively features terrazzo, Italian slab marble and imported glass tile and is furnished with locally-handcrafted sustainable wood furniture native to the area, reclaimed teak furniture and designer pieces imported from Europe using custom Donghia Hawaii-themed fabrics. Designers featured include Richard Schultz, Eames, Phillipe Starck, Jens Risom for Pucci, Cherner, Chista, Buchfelder for Moss, Marcel Wanders, Verner Panton and Le Corbusier. Frette linens are provided in baths and bedrooms.

There are 2 bedrooms in the main house, each with a private bath, and 2 bedrooms in the detached "Hale I'i (the "Little House")." Other amenities include a media center with flatscreen TV/DVD/stereo and sound in every room. The home has a saline pool and jacuzzi (gentler on the body than a chlorinated pool) and features air conditioning in all of the bedrooms.

Mauna Kea Resort has two of the finest white sand beaches in Hawaii, Mauna Kea Beach and Hapuna Beach. The Resort boasts a fitness center (at additional charge) & spa, 36 holes of golf at discounted rates and 13 tennis courts. There are also a variety of restaurants and shops and free shuttle service between the Mauna Kea & Hapuna Prince Resorts.

Along with the complete refurbishing of the The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, a fee for guest identification cards and a daily fee to access the hotel facilities will be charged. This policy applies to anyone age 14 or older and will be limited to six (6) people per reservation.
